In addition to dance instruction, we offer beautiful, colorful and exciting Polynesian dance performances. "  Halau Ano'i Polynesia  " is a dance company specializing in Hawaiian hula, Tahitian, Samoan, Maori and Chamorru dance. We offer audiences of all ages beautiful, colorful and exciting performances of Polynesian dance. The upbeat hula implement dances of Hawaii, the mesmerizing "Otea" of Tahiti (a dance of fast paced rhythms of the hips), turning of the pois and the soft, alluring hula of Hawaii are but a few highlights of  Halau Polynesia Desire Hula performance. The company will be performing at many corporate functions and private events such as lu'aus, weddings, anniversaries, and birthday parties. The Halau is available for show performances, both private and public. Our dance presentations reflect the integration of Polynesian hula, language, and the spiritualness of Hawaii and Polynesia. Many audiences will walk away with a greater understanding of Hawaiian culture.

About your Kumu (Instructor):
Tisha "TIARE" Bamba,  named after a Beautiful white gardenia from the Island of Tahiti. She first studied hula at the age of 5 years on the Island of Guam. She began taking hula lessons from her grandmother, a hula teacher, after the family moved to Guam. These informal lessons eventually grew into a deep love of Hawaiian dance and culture.She has also studied jazz and several Polynesian dance styles. She began teaching and choreographing in Polynesian at age 16, and won several Hula Song national solo titles. Tiare has been a member of several dance companies, including Halau Hula Ona Kamali'i (Kailua Kona, HI), Jimmy Dees Chamorritas (Tamuning, GU). She also Traveled throughout Asia and United States performing and mentoring authentic cultural dances. Tiare earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Hawaii 2004. She has a Non Profit Organization called "Global Women's Assn.", she is also a proud Independent Beauty consultant, a member of Young Professionals of Columbus Ga. and The Chamber of Commerce and the first Susan G Komen Ambassador in Columbus Ga. Tiare has had over 10 years of dance experience, as a performer, teacher and choreographer.
